Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Quickly reduce engine and machine downtime, control costs and schedule repairs more efficiently by diagnosing problems using Cat Electronic Technician. By using Cat ET, technicians can view status parameters, logged codes, active codes, perform functional tests and record and view data logs. (*Cables and additional hardware required. Call for details.) Service Information System (SIS) Do you want to stay on top of your repair and maintenance costs? Use the same tool that Caterpillar and its dealers use: Service Information System (SIS). With SIS, you get access to 1 million part numbers, 1.3 million graphics and thousands of parts and service documents. SIS is available by subscription via the internet or DVD. Product Link Caterpillar’s satellite-based Product Link system provides valuable information that no other competitor’s online monitoring system can provide about your Caterpillar equipment. Via a Caterpillar Web site, Product Link can show you the same event and component diagnostic codes from your equipment as you’d see using Cat Electronic Technician. In addition to comprehensive machine health data, Product Link will also display machine GPS location and geo-fences, meter hours, help you track planned maintenance, and even tell you exactly which Caterpillar parts are needed for each planned maintenance interval.
